How can I check my results?
If your test was ordered by a health professional at Dolphin House you can request your results in the following ways:

- Telephone our reception team on 01920 468 777 between the hours of 2pm and 4pm
If your test was not ordered by the practice, for example a hospital or private consultant please contact them directly for the results.
When will my results be available?
Approximate number of working days for test results:
Blood tests – 3-5 working days unless otherwise advised
Urine test – 5-7 working days
X-ray – 3-4 weeks
CT/MRI scan – 3-4 weeks
Biopsy/histology – 6 weeks
Smear test – 3-4 weeks
What if my result is marked abnormal?
Your results are automatically filed into your notes as soon as they are received from the lab. This may be before they have been reviewed by a doctor. It is best to wait for advice from your doctor before reviewing these results as “abnormal” results may not necessarily mean there is a problem.
However, if you see something on your results that is making you worry then please give our reception team a call. Please note, we request that you do not assume that a result is normal if we do not contact you. The surgery will contact you if there is a significant problem with your results, but please contact us for all results as the GP may have made some suggestions or advice based on your results even if there is not a significant problem
